YOUNG PRESIDIANS QUENCH THEIR THIRST FOR ADVENTURE AT JIM CORBETT

To fill their lives with adventure and fun-filled stories to tell, the students of Presidium Hisar recently went on a three day tour to Jim Corbett. Enjoying the bus ride by playing Antakshri, clicking photographs, eating snacks and watching scenic beauty, the group was welcomed warmly by team Rock Sport Academy and Resort Staff. The students explored the dense jungle and watched the spurring wildlife in morning silence. Admiring the beauty of rich flora and fauna, the Presidians relished the cool breeze and played games like Mission Impossible, Rifle shooting, Body Surfing and Raw Bridge/Confidence Course. A competition of writing journal regarding their tour’s experience was also organized. Special attraction of the trip was Sunrise Trek near Khichi River, where the leaders of tomorrow packed a bag full of golden memories.

THE HISAR HEROES 2017 DISPLAY UNPARALLELED TALENT & CONFIDENCE

Success is not a competition with the world, it’s a competition with yourself!

To give the young students of Presidium and other schools of Hisar an opportunity to exhibit their artistic flair, talent and confidence, an Inter-School Competition - ‘HISAR HEROES - 2017’ was recently organized. Showcasing the young Presidians' creativity through competitions like Best out of Waste, Drawing and Colouring, it was a wonderful opportunity to encourage thinking out of the box. Under poetry competitions, some participants recited poems on the theme 'nature’, while some tickled the audience with a plethora of humorous poems. The pulsating enthusiasm and readiness of our leaders of tomorrow could be easily seen while they competed to become the ‘Hisar Heroes’.

Arpita of Army Public School won Debate Competition as the Best Speaker (for)

Neeraj of Presidium School won Debate Competition as the Best Speaker (Against)

Stressing on the need of co-curricular activities for sound development in children, the fun-filled contest was deeply appreciated by the parents, dignitaries and the panel of judges, which included renowned experts in respective categories. Each contestant was given a 'participation certificate' and the winners were awarded trophies along with certificates. It was indeed an enriching experience filled with confidence and learning for all the students!

PRESIDIANS RAISE AWARENESS FOR UNITED NATIONS & WORLD POLIO DAY

We don’t know who we are, until we see what we can do!

To raise awareness about the two important international events - the United Nations Day and the World Polio Day, the students of grade 5 recently organized a special assembly at Presidium, Hisar. Glorifying the aims and achievements of the United Nations, the young Presidians discussed the current theme of the UN Day - 'potential in diversity’. The next section of the assembly was raising awareness about the infectious disease ‘Poliomyelitis’, commonly referred to as polio. Here, the students stressed upon the objective of the year 2017 - 'end Polio now: make history today’. To reinforce and assimilate the knowledge gained, an open quiz was conducted, which made the environment very lively and interesting.

PRESIDIANS ADD A COLOURFUL TOUCH TO THE DIWALI CELEBRATION

Packed with excitement and enthusiasm, the grade 7 students of Presidium organized a special assembly on the occasion of Diwali, the festival of lights. To give a festive look of bright colours to their school premises, they decorated them beautifully with the help of diyas, lanterns and rangolis. The young Presidians talked about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. Besides sensitizing students to the ill-effects of crackers, they also shared the guidelines of being safe while bursting them. Distributing Diwali cards to each member of the staff to convey their humble festive wishes, the students summed up the assembly on the message of rejoicing a safe and clean Diwali.

PRESIDIANS PAY HOMAGE TO 'FATHER OF THE NATION' ON GANDHI JAYANTI

To commemorate the 148th birth anniversary of the legend who rose to the level of a Mahatma due to his altruism and selflessness, the national festival of Gandhi Jayanti was gloriously celebrated at Presidium, Hisar with a special assembly. Conducted by the students of grade 3 with great zeal and enthusiasm, the assembly commenced with a prayer by the school choir, which kindled a feeling of devotion and patriotism in all. The Presidians sang a patriotic song, which was then followed by general awareness questions and a patriotic dance. A heartfelt homage was paid to the ‘Father of the Nation’ by sharing the anecdotes from Gandhi Ji’s life, which were inspiring to all and encouraged them to follow the mantra of ‘simple living and high thinking’. The idea of spreading the message of cleanliness by the 'leaders of tomorrow' was highly appreciated by everyone.

CELEBRATING THE TRIUMPH OF GOOD OVER EVIL AT PRESIDIUM, HISAR

To mark Lord Rama's victory over Ravana and to reinforce the message that good always triumphs over evil, the students of Presidium Hisar kept the festive spirit alive by celebrating the festival of Dussehra. A special assembly by the children of grade 1 was organized in the school, which began with an invocation to the almighty in the form of rendition. The talented students delivered a speech to depict the significance of the festival and how it is celebrated in the country. Students also performed a dance drama, in which life history of lord Rama was depicted. Colourful attires were worn by the performers to play the roles of the great epic Ramayana characters like lord Rama, Lakshmana, Sita and Ravana. The entire function was filled up with a sense of great joy and enthusiasm.

HAPPY FEET DANCING CONTEST:LITTLE PRESIDIANS PUT UP A SUPERB SHOW

To hone the dance skills of our young students and bring out their artistic side, a 'Happy feet Dancing Competition' was organized for grades nursery and prep at Presidium, Hisar. The competition started with great zeal and enthusiasm and the tiny tots were thrilled to be a part of this colourful, vibrant and energizing event. Shaking their little hands, feet and bodies, our beautifully dressed teeny-weeny children twirled, flipped and jumped on the stage. Different kinds of dance forms like western, contemporary, hip-hop and classical were performed. Children used interesting props like hats, chairs and sticks. The choreography, rhythm and presentation of all the students was par excellence. The highlight of the performance was that every child was jubilant on stage and became the cynosure of all eyes.

EXEMPLARY STAGE PRESENTATIONS BY PRESIDIANS OF GRADE NURSERY TO 2

Presidium believes in making leaders of tomorrow and the main quality of best leader is to speak comfortably in front of public without any hesitation. Considering that an effective presentation makes the best use of relationship between the presenter and the audience, a series of presentations was recently organized for students of grades nursery to 2 at Presidium, Hisar. The little Presidians came prepared on different topics related to everyday life. Each child’s social, emotional and linguistic skills developed as they learnt to use descriptive language, practice listening skills and share their special talents. It was a great show with display of talents and variety of roles. The children went through a whole gamut of expressions while presenting themselves on stage.

PRESIDIUM HISAR PROUDLY PLEDGES ITS SUPPORT TO 'RALLY FOR RIVERS'

Save rivers, save lives!
 
Our rivers are our lifelines and when today, they are endangered, we must act before it's too late. With the same passion towards conserving India's rivers, students of Presidium Hisar recently organized a special assembly, wherein they proudly supported the nationwide campaign of 'Rally for Rivers' flagged by Sadhguru's Isha Foundation. The young Presidians presented a musical skit to raise awareness to reveal the problems related to depletion of rivers and solutions related to conservation of rivers. Our dear chairperson, Ms. Sudha Gupta's inspiring video message was shown to all the classes where she has extended her support for the cause. The 'leaders of tomorrow' took a pledge to support the movement by not polluting rivers and resorting to afforestation.

PRESIDIANS DEDICATE A SPECIAL DAY TO THEIR LOVING TEACHERS

Good teachers make ordinary students do extraordinary things!
 
The splendid occasion of Teacher’s Day was celebrated with incredible gusto and zeal by the students of at Presidium, Hisar. Having an emotional and recreational touch, the day started with giving a tribute to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishanan, the former president of India, the great architect of the society and a model teacher of the nation. The students did all the preparations with excitement and began the programme with recitation of a poignant Hindi poem by Ms. Monika on the essence and spirit of Teacher's Day. Teachers made the stage alive with their stellar dance performances, while our esteemed school principal spoke on the work and contribution of Dr. Radhakrishanan and lauded the teachers for their devotion to the cause of education. The best teacher is the one who suggests rather than dogmatizes and inspires his listeners with the wish to teach himself.
