As we all know teachers are the most important part of a child's life so it becomes all the more important to give love and respect to teachers. Teachers' day is dedicated to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan – the second President of India who was a great academic philosopher and one of the most well-known diplomats, scholars, President of India, and above all a great teacher. The students of Presidium celebrated Teacher’s Day with great fun and enthusiasm. The assembly began with the lighting of the lamp followed by a chorus song all dedicated to the heroes of our life: The Teachers. The head of the school delivered a touching speech and overwhelmingly said in her speech that they are very proud to have a day like that. A speech on the life of Dr. S. Radhakrishan was presented by the students. A beautiful poem highlighting the importance of a guru (teacher) was also recited showcasing the love, affection and bond that holds together each and every member of the Presidium family. Teachers played some games, danced and ended the celebration with beautiful busts of memories.
