INTRACLASS QUIZ COMPETITION: WHERE KNOWLEDGE CONQUERS ALL!
The best way to check and ensure that knowledge is being delivered and the students properly understand the concepts is by conducting a quiz. Keeping this in mind an Intraclass Quiz competition was organized for grades 1 to 3 to test the sharpness and retention power of the students. The quiz was divided into four rounds and each round was equally innovative and captivating. The rounds were content and knowledge, audio, visual and rapid fire. The aim of the activity was to encourage and motivate the students to be aware of their surroundings and understand the world as a whole. All the participants were enthusiastic and it was great to witness a neck to neck competition among them.

YOUNG PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE EID-UL-ADHA & WORLD HUMANITARIAN DAY
‘The sole meaning of life is to serve humanity’.
This is the spirit of the festival of Eid-Ul-Adha and keeping which in mind, a special assembly was conducted by the young students of grade 1 to celebrate Eid-ul-Zuha and World Humanitarian Day. The assembly began with a thought encouraging us to be kind, compassionate and considerate towards every living being, followed by a quiz based on Eid. A short skit was performed to deliver the message that there is a teaching of humanity in all religions portraying the message of ‘Politeness is the flower of Humanity’. The Vice Principal wished for happiness, joy and peace for everyone and emphasized on the importance of serving mankind and making the earth a beautiful place to live in.

Presidium Hisar recently celebrated `International Youth Day’ and Teej in a special assembly conducted by students of grade 9. The assembly started with informative speeches on the significance of International Youth Day and Teej. The focus of these speeches was to create awareness among the students about the duties and responsibilities of the youth at the same time the importance of celebrating the tradition and culture of the country by celebrating festivals like Teej. The speeches were followed by a mesmerising dance performance. The Vice Principal appreciated the efforts of the students and emphasized on the responsibility of the young generation to preserve traditions and culture of festivals while maintaining their core values.
PRESIDIANS PROMISE TO PRESERVE RESOURCES ON EARTH OVERSHOOT DAY

Keeping in mind this statement and to lead the students of grade 9 towards environment conservation, a special assembly was organised on ‘Earth Overshoot Day’. This day is celebrated to let the world know that we are over using Earth’s ecological resources. The assembly started with an article on importance of conservation of resources. The students shared their views on the significance of Earth Overshoot Day. The Vice Principal, Ms. Shalini Choudhary addressed the students appreciating their efforts and talked about their responsibilities as responsible citizens of the world. The assembly ended with a pledge to conserve our beautiful home - Earth, by ensuring sustainable development.

PRESIDIANS PLEDGE TO UPHOLD INDIA’S GLORY ON INDEPENDENCE DAY
Presidium Hisar celebrated the 72nd Independence Day of India and gave a tribute to the rich history, culture and heritage of our nation. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the Vice Principal unfurled the tricolour flag and everyone in unison sang the national anthem. The celebration included saraswativandana, a dance and a powerful mime depicting the life of our soldiers. The school choir group also sang a patriotic song that awakened everyone’s feelings towards our motherland. It was a great moment to see the present & future of the nation valuing the freedom struggle and the sacrifices of our soldiers.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARDS: FELICITATING SCHOLARS OF 2017-18
‘If you want to achieve success, you have to define what it is for you!’
While some just dream of success, our Presidians wake up and work hard at it. It is this hard work that has led to their excellence in all spheres of life. To acknowledge their journey of success in the field of academics, we recently organised the time-honoured ‘Academic Excellence Awards’. The ceremony was graced by our honourable Chairperson Mrs.Sudha Gupta who felicitated the young achievers with trophies and certificates of recognition. The students of grade 4 to 9 were honoured with shining trophies and certificates of recognition for their marvelous scores in examinations and 100% attendance.
The Overall Excellence Trophy was awarded to those students who got A1 in all the scholastic subjects and in minimum of 5 co-scholastic parameters out of 7. While the award for Subject Excellence was bagged by the ones who got an A1 in 3 or more subjects. The students were thrilled to receive such an honour for their academic prowess and expressed gratitude to the teachers and parents for their constant support.

Appreciation is the greatest motivator! With this belief, Presidium Hisar recently organized Chairperson Honours Ceremony for grades 4 to 9. The ceremony commemorated the budding talents whose persistent quest for success, dedication, sincerity and perseverance led them towards excellence in academics, co-curricular activities and sports. The occasion was graced by the honourable Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta who felicitated the achievers with awards and certificates of recognition. Ma’am motivated them to always strive for excellence with immense confidence and have the unshakeable belief to achieve their dreams. The programme was also beautified by a classical dance performance which was relished by all.
