YOUNG PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE DEEPAWALI WITH IMMENSE JOY!

“Let this Diwali burn all your bad times and enter you in good times.”
Deepawali, the festival of lights is celebrated with much pomp and show in India. The festival marks the triumph of good over evil. To make students understand the importance of Diwali, Presidium Hisar recently celebrated Diwali enthusiastically. A special assembly was organized by the students of grade Pre Nursery, Nursery and Prep. Teachers explained them the importance of festival of Diwali. Students came to school in ethnic attires and a small skit and dance was presented by them. They had Diwali Party in their respective classrooms and played various games and enjoyed their favourite food. It was a fun and memorable day.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE DIWALI & HARYANA DAY WITH A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY

A special assembly was conducted by students of grades 6 - 8 to commemorate Haryana Diwali and also to celebrate the auspicious festival of Diwali. The assembly commenced with a beautiful quote on Diwali followed by lighting of diyas. The students of grade 8, presented thoughts based on the value of the month ‘Reverence’ and on ‘Diwali’. Thereafter, students of grade 6 - 8 presented an informative talk on Eco Friendly Diwali and Haryana Day. A skit depicting the significance of Diwali as a festival of removing darkness of ignorance from our minds was staged beautifully. The skit also emphasized on the hazards of bursting crackers on the environment. It was followed by Poem Recitation celebrating the spirit and joy of Diwali. The Vice Principal appreciated the efforts of the teachers and students in presenting the special assembly and urged the students to celebrate Diwali in an eco-friendly manner.

PRESIDIANS DISCOVER THEIR HIDDEN POTENTIAL AT TALENT HUNT EVENT

“Doing easily what others find difficult is talent; Doing what is impossible with talent is genius.”
Talent Hunt not only helps students to show their abilities but also motivates them to come up front and show their hidden potential. Keeping this in mind, we recently organised an Inter Class Talent Hunt Competition for the students of grades 4 and 5. Students participated enthusiastically and displayed their abilities magnificently. They exhibited their talent in diverse fields like Singing, Mono Act, Recitation, Story-telling, playing an instrument, etc. It was amazing to see the students perform with utmost confidence and grace. The aim of the event was to nurture holistic development of the students and help them enhance skills like observation, concentration, self expression and confidence along with their creative and artistic skills.

YOUNG ORATORS PROVE THEIR METTLE AT SHOW & TELL COMPETITION

Presidium School Hisar recently organised a Show and Tell Competition for the  students of grades Nursery and Prep. A great platform for stage exposure wherein students face the rest of the class and describe an object with confidence. Such competitions also enhance the vocabulary and speaking skills of the students who brought a number of different objects like Cake, Doremon, Doll, Doctor Kit, etc and used innovative ways to describe the object with facial expression and voice modulation. The Vice Principal, Ms Shalini Chaudhary was impressed by the way the students conducted themselves. While announcing the winners, she congratulated each participant for the efforts they put in.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON DUSSEHRA AND DISASTER RISK REDUCTION DAY

A special assembly was conducted in the premises of Presidium Hisar on the occasion of International Disaster Risk Reduction Day and Dussehra by the students of grade 6. The assembly began with a thought highlighting the importance of our duties as human beings, followed by news headlines and a quiz based on the facts related to Dussehra and International Disaster Risk Reduction Day. To enrich vocabulary, a new word along with its meaning and usage was told. A speech related to importance of Dussehra and International Disaster Risk Reduction Day’s relevance was delivered. Students also presented the importance of international unity at the time of any natural disaster through a group song. A play was enacted displaying the victory of good over evil. By the end of the assembly the students were highly motivated and pledged to fight against the evil.

BEST OUT OF WASTE: PRESIDIANS LEARN PROGRESSIVE USE OF RESOURCES

‘Cultivate curiosity; optimism and perseverance…Expect the best from the universe’. The students of Grades 1 to 3 at Presidium School Hisar participated in the Intra-Class Best out of Waste Competition. They showcased their talent by using the waste materials like newspapers, bangles, plastic bottles, empty cans, ice cream sticks, CD ROMS, etc, into beautiful pencil holders, photo frames, coasters etc. This competition was organized for students to learn and progressively understand that resources should be used carefully and they should always follow the motto of Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.

CELEBRATING AIRFORCE DAY, GIRL CHILD DAY, WORLD POST DAY

Students of Grade 6 recently presented a Special Assembly on ‘Indian Air Force Day’ ‘International Day of
the Girl Child’ and ‘World Post Day’. The assembly started with the Morning Prayer followed by the news headlines and thought for the day. The objective of the assembly was to make the audience aware of the fact that the Indian Air Force, air arm of the Indian armed forces, has its prime responsibility of securing the Indian airspace as well as to carry out aerial warfare clash. The assembly also highlighted the importance of the International Day of the Girl Child and World Post Day. A group of students recited a poem in praise of Indian Air Force. They also presented a skit on International Day for Girl Child. The importance of this day was reiterated to the students by spreading awareness amongst them that the government has instituted laws and policies protecting the rights of girls and women. The assembly was addressed by our Vice Principal Ms Shalini Choudhary. She encouraged the students with her motivating words. The assembly was concluded with the School Song and National Anthem.

OZONE DAY: PRESIDIANS VOW TO PROTECT AND SERVE THEIR MOTHER EARTH

A special assembly on Ozone Day was recently organised by the students of Presidium Hisar. It was an educational initiative and a step to prompt young minds to start contributing their bit in nurturing and looking after ‘Mother Earth’. A poem was presented by students titled “Vatavaran ko swachh banao”. Through this poem students threw light on the significance of the environment in our life. A skit was also performed where the students depicted the ways in which we are destroying the environment and showcasing the depleting ozone layer and the consequences we would face in the future. The assembly was culminated with a pledge to do our bit in the mission to save and protect our earth.

PRESIDIANS ENTHRALL ALL WITH THEIR DAZZLING PERFORMANCES

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, an Intra Class Dance Competition - Happy Feet Dance Competition, was organised for the students of grades Nursery and Prep. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young Presidians as they enthralled everyone with their performances. Overall, the event was a major success in recreating the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play infused with a magnetic energy surrounded by cheerfulness.

YOUNG PRESIDIANS DELIVER WITH CONVICTION AT STAGE PRESENTATIONS

Students who are good presenters are better communicators all round since they are able to construct and express their ideas clearly. It is very important to enhance the confidence level of the students so that they have stage daring, socializing with others, linguistic and other skills are developed from an early age. Keeping this in mind, Stage Presentation was organized recently for the students of grade 1 to 3. Topics for were – Good Manners, Health lies in fruits and vegetables and Funny things my parents say for grade 1, Laughter is the best medicine and Clean Earth, Green Earth for grade 2, and Nature is the best healer and Books are our best friends for grade 3. Many students brought different props to convey their thoughts and message to the audience in a more coherent manner. Their confidence while performing on the stage left the audience spellbound.
