HAPPY FEET DANCING CONTEST:LITTLE PRESIDIANS PUT UP A SUPERB SHOW
To hone the dance skills of our young students and bring out their artistic side, a 'Happy feet Dancing Competition' was organized for grades nursery and prep at Presidium, Hisar. The competition started with great zeal and enthusiasm and the tiny tots were thrilled to be a part of this colourful, vibrant and energizing event. Shaking their little hands, feet and bodies, our beautifully dressed teeny-weeny children twirled, flipped and jumped on the stage. Different kinds of dance forms like western, contemporary, hip-hop and classical were performed. Children used interesting props like hats, chairs and sticks. The choreography, rhythm and presentation of all the students was par excellence. The highlight of the performance was that every child was jubilant on stage and became the cynosure of all eyes.
EXEMPLARY STAGE PRESENTATIONS BY PRESIDIANS OF GRADE NURSERY TO 2
Presidium believes in making leaders of tomorrow and the main quality of best leader is to speak comfortably in front of public without any hesitation. Considering that an effective presentation makes the best use of relationship between the presenter and the audience, a series of presentations was recently organized for students of grades nursery to 2 at Presidium, Hisar. The little Presidians came prepared on different topics related to everyday life. Each child’s social, emotional and linguistic skills developed as they learnt to use descriptive language, practice listening skills and share their special talents. It was a great show with display of talents and variety of roles. The children went through a whole gamut of expressions while presenting themselves on stage.
PRESIDIUM HISAR PROUDLY PLEDGES ITS SUPPORT TO 'RALLY FOR RIVERS'
Save rivers, save lives!
Our rivers are our lifelines and when today, they are endangered, we must act before it's too late. With the same passion towards conserving India's rivers, students of Presidium Hisar recently organized a special assembly, wherein they proudly supported the nationwide campaign of 'Rally for Rivers' flagged by Sadhguru's Isha Foundation. The young Presidians presented a musical skit to raise awareness to reveal the problems related to depletion of rivers and solutions related to conservation of rivers. Our dear chairperson, Ms. Sudha Gupta's inspiring video message was shown to all the classes where she has extended her support for the cause. The 'leaders of tomorrow' took a pledge to support the movement by not polluting rivers and resorting to afforestation.
PRESIDIANS DEDICATE A SPECIAL DAY TO THEIR LOVING TEACHERS
Good teachers make ordinary students do extraordinary things!
The splendid occasion of Teacher’s Day was celebrated with incredible gusto and zeal by the students of at Presidium, Hisar. Having an emotional and recreational touch, the day started with giving a tribute to Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishanan, the former president of India, the great architect of the society and a model teacher of the nation. The students did all the preparations with excitement and began the programme with recitation of a poignant Hindi poem by Ms. Monika on the essence and spirit of Teacher's Day. Teachers made the stage alive with their stellar dance performances, while our esteemed school principal spoke on the work and contribution of Dr. Radhakrishanan and lauded the teachers for their devotion to the cause of education. The best teacher is the one who suggests rather than dogmatizes and inspires his listeners with the wish to teach himself.
BLISSFUL EID AL-ADHA CELEBRATION AT PRESIDIUM HISAR
The phrase Eid al-Adha translates as the ‘festival of the sacrifice’ and is also known as the greater Eid. It is a holy time of sacrifice and generosity to friends, family and the needy. To mark this special day, a special assembly was organized by students of grade 2 at Presidium, Hisar. The assembly started with a holy thought and then followed by speech of the students on why Eid al-Adha is celebrated. A dance presentation on Sufi songs by little champs mesmerized everyone. Assembly culminated with a small quiz on Eid al-Adha in which every student participated actively.
INTRA-CLASS QUIZ COMPETITION: PRESIDIANS WORK AS A PROFOUND TEAM
Quiz is a fun classroom activity that allows all the students to practice together and work as a team. It provides an excellent opportunity and platform for students to share their knowledge. Quizzing also helps students in improving their brain plasticity, keeping their minds agile. Considering the importance of this academic activity, an 'intra-class quiz competition' was recently organized on different themes for grades nursery to 3. It was a lively experience for students as they were divided into teams of two members. All the students participated with great zeal and enthusiasm, showing their extraordinary knowledge.
INTER-CLUB POSTER MAKING: SPLASH OF COLOUR MINGLED WITH IDEAS
As Aristotle believed, "to bring any change we must train young minds". To address some of the contemporary issues affecting our day-to-day life, an 'inter-club poster making competition for students of grades 4 and 5 was recently organized at Presidium, Hisar. Topics for the poster making were 'swachh bharat', 'women safety' and 'save ozone layer'. The students participated with immense zeal and enthusiasm. They exhibited their talent through their artwork, accompanied with appropriate captions and slogans. It was a great opportunity to watch these young minds trying to create their ideas of a better environment and country on paper. Their efforts and initiatives were appreciated by one and all as each of the poster prepared by them was a splash of colour mingled with ideas.
ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARDS 2017:RECOGNIZING YOUNG SCHOLARS
Excellence is not a destination; it's a continuous journey which never ends!
To honour our students for their excellent result and hardwork, Presidium Hisar recently organized 'Academic Excellence Awards'. The aim behind this award ceremony was to acknowledge the students who have shown their best results in session 2016-17. While Kartikey of grade 5 was awarded with 'Overall Excellence Award', 17 students were acknowledged with 'Subject Excellence Awards' and 5 students were acknowledged with '100% Attendance Award' by the honourable chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta. Truly believing in taking education beyond books and walls of school for creating a better world in future, Sudha ma’am utilized this time-honoured tradition to motivate all the students to chase their dreams and be what they want to be. All the students shared the feeling of pride and thanked their mentors, parents and the school for channelizing their potential in the right direction. The event invigorated all the students to keep up the excellent work and carry the in future through persistent hardwork and determination.
हिन्दी सप्ताह: प्रेसिडियंस के दिलों में मात्रभाषा के लिए आदर बढ़ा
हिन्दी भाषा के महत्व को समझते हुए, प्रेसिडियम हिसार में हाल ही में एक 'हिन्दी सप्ताह' का आयोजन किया गया जिसमें कईं रोचक क्रियाएं बड़े ही जोश और उल्लास से की गईं| हमारी मात्रभाषा के प्रति प्रेसिडियंस के दिलों में आदर बढ़ने हेतु, इस सप्ताह की शुरुआत श्रुतलेख, कथा-लेखन और कविता-लेखन से हुई| विद्यार्थियों ने बढ़-चढ़ के हिस्सा लिया और अपनी काबिलियत के अनुसार दिए गये विषयों पे बहुत बढ़िया कहानियाँ और कवितायें लिखीं| इस से हिन्दी साहित्य के लिए विद्यार्थियों में दिलचस्पी बढ़ी|
एक प्रातः सभा का भी आयोजन किया गया जिसमें प्रेसिडियंस ने अपनी दमदार हिन्दी कविताओं और भाषणों से सब का दिल जीत लिया| एक 'ऐसे-ऐसे' नुक्कड़ नाटक द्वारा विद्यार्थियों और अध्यापकों के बीच के खूबसूरत रिश्ते को दर्शाया गया| इस मनोरंजक और ग्यान्वर्धक हिन्दी साप्ताह से बच्चों को 'हिन्दी हमारी शान है, देश का अभिमान है' की सीख मिली और उन्होने इस आदरणीय भाषा का गौरव बढ़ने का संकल्प लिया|
PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE NATION'S 71ST INDEPENDENCE DAY & JANMASHTAMI
Fusing the proud occasion of India's 71st Independence Day and the bright festival of Janamshtami was recently celebrated at Presidium, Hisar. To commemorate the sovereignty of our nation, the chief guest unfurled the tricolour and Col. Ravi Girdhar graced the occasion as the guest of honour. All the students and teachers saluted the flag and sang the National Anthem in unison. Patriotic poems and songs were recited by the students to mark the day. Crisp speeches of several talented Presidians both in Hindi and English highlighted the significance of these beautiful days. The students mesmerized the gathering with their group dance and musical adaptation of 'Krishna Leela'. Inspiring the students to become ideal citizens of the country, the celebration was a memorable and enjoyable experience for all.
