ADORNED IN HUES OF TRICOLOUR,PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE REPUBLIC DAY

January 26, marks the day when the Indian constitution came to effect and declared India as a sovereign, socialist, secular and democratic republic. The special programme hosted to celebrate this day laid emphasis on the fact that our Presidians comprehend the importance of all these principles and celebrate their love for the nation. The patriotic songs and poems narrated by students filled the atmosphere with fervour and concern for their country. Our vice principal, Ms. Shalini Chaudhary also motivated the students to be the harbingers of a social change to build a new, better and strong India.

PRESIDIANS CONDUCT A BEAUTIFUL ASSEMBLY ON NEW YEAR & ARMY DAY

Be always at war with your vices, at peace with your neighbours, and let each New Year make you a better man! 

Amalgamating two beautiful themes of New Year and World Army Day, our grade 3 and 7 students recently conducted a special assembly at Presidium, Hisar. They participated with great zeal and enthusiasm to decorate the stage with their handmade aesthetically craft work. The assembly showcased an array of interesting programs like a captivating dance performance and an inspiring thought on ‘determination and hard work’. The school echoed with hymns sung melodiously by the school choir ushering the New Year’s fervour, post which the 18 different ranks in the army were explained. This was a special tribute to our valiant soldiers, who risk and sacrifice their lives to guard our country. It was a catchy, tuneful number and all the students joined in enthusiastically. The children were filled with joy and excitement as the programme culminated with the singing of the School Song and National Anthem.

FOSTERING LOVE FOR MATH IN PRESIDIANS' MINDS WITH MATHEMATICS DAY

To apprise our students about the importance of Mathematics and make it interesting for them, Presidium Hisar recently celebrated Mathematics Day. This remarkable event commenced with the thought for the day, followed by news and a quiz. The students then presented a heartwarming carol on Mathematics and a captivating skit. They also told interesting facts on Mathematics and about contribution of famous Mathematicians. It was a strategically planned assembly, which inculcated love for the subject in the hearts of our leaders of tomorrow.

PRESIDIANS SPREAD THE MESSAGE OF CARING & SHARING ON CHRISTMAS

Christmas is a time when family and friends come together and remember the good things they have. Reigniting the thought that Christmas is a day for opening hearts to holiness and godliness instead of just a day for opening presents, the grade 7 students of Presidium Hisar recently conducted a special assembly. They showcased a short and entertaining skit based on caring and sharing, stating the story behind Christmas. They enacted their parts with inspiration and sang traditional Christmas carols like 'jingle bells' and 'we wish you a merry Christmas' to get everybody into the festive spirit. Emphasizing the importance of spreading goodness all around by reciting a poem, the Presidians concluded that Christmas is a celebration of spirituality, family bonding and joy of giving.

VIJAY DIWAS AUGMENTS LOVE FOR NATION IN PRESIDIANS' TENDER HEARTS

December 16, 2017 marks the 46th anniversary of Vijay Diwas, the day the Pakistan Army in East Bengal surrendered before Lt. Gen. J.S. Aurora, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Army’s Eastern Command, in 1971. A new nation was born after a struggle which lasted but a few months and had its roots in the Pakistan general election of December 1970. To pay tribute to the martyrs and their sacrifices, a special assembly was recently conducted by grade 2 students at Presidium, Hisar. The assembly commenced with candle lighting, a patriotic thought and a GK quiz. Next, a dance performance by students on the patriotic song 'kadmon se kadam milte hai' instilled a proud feeling of nationalism in everyone’s heart. It left everyone awestruck and imbibed love for the nation in the tender hearts of Presidians.

PRESIDIANS UNDERSTAND POWER OF RECOGNITION ON APPRECIATION DAY

Appreciation works like a magic wand!

At Presidium Hisar, we truly understand the power of acknowledgement, hence we recently celebrated the Appreciation day by acknowledging our students with 'appreciation certificates'. The certificates covered 17 qualities of the young Presidians, identified by their class teachers. These attributes were confidence, friendliness, responsibilities, team spirit, leadership, independence, positive attitude, creativity, enthusiasm, courage, curiosity, communication, good behaviour, attentiveness, excellence in sports, excellence in dance and taking initiative. This noble idea is very close to the heart of our honourable Chairperson as she believes that each child has a unique quality and it is our responsibility to recognize the same and motivate each one of them continuously!

PRESIDIANS SAY NO TO BRIBE ON INTERNATIONAL ANTI-CORRUPTION DAY

Honesty pays honour and corruption dishonors!
 
International Anti-Corruption Day was recently observed by our young students of grade 2 with a special morning assembly at Presidium, Hisar. They proactively participated and started the assembly with a special thought, describing corruption and how to get rid of it. With the message that honest people stay away from corruption in very simple words, the Presidians took a thoughtful pledge that they will never give and take bribe. They ended up the show by a musical dance performance on corruption, leaving a long lasting impact on everyone.

WORLD HUMAN RIGHTS DAY: PRESIDIANS GIVE HOPE FOR A BETTER FUTURE

What a wonderful sight, when everyone is treated right!
 
Keeping this thought in mind, a special assembly on World Human Rights Day was organised by our talented grade 2 students at Presidium, Hisar. The assembly started with a very invigorating thought and GK quiz to sensitize the children for doing their bit in making earth a better world to live for all. The students performed a skit to highlight various topics like right against exploitation, right to education & religion and right to work. The little ones showed their enthusiasm to talk about human rights and equality of every individual as a human being!

PRESIDIANS ON THEIR WAY TO BECOME YOUNG AVID READERS

Considering the benefits of being a good reader, Presidium Hisar recently celebrated a much-awaited annual event - ONRT (One Nation Reading Together), organized by Scholastics, India. In this book reading event, students across the country spend 30 minutes reading together. Everyone in the school including our young Presidians, teachers and staff took the ‘reading pledge’, post which they started reading with complete concentration and silence. Some students also shared their experience by writing their comments on the Graffiti Wall. It was a great experience for all!

PRESIDIANS EMBRACE SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT ON WORLD SOIL DAY

Soil protects our history and plays an important role in the preservation of the earth’s history!
 
With the vital theme 'caring for the planet starts from the ground’, Presidium Hisar recently organized a special assembly to celebrate the World Soil Day. Spreading awareness regarding significant processes like soil erosion, its importance, food, water, climate and biodiversity, the assembly began with an article, highlighting the importance of the day. The students of grade 8 discussed various types of soils and the measures to be taken to save it. It raised awareness among the students about critical importance of different varieties of soil and inspired them to explore new opportunities to embrace sustainable development. The assembly sensitized the audience towards the fact that Soil is more valuable than oil!
