Festivals bring joy and happiness and the harvest festival of Baisakhi also has religious values. To celebrate this beautiful festival with much aplomb, our grade 9 students recently conducted a special assembly at Presidium, Hisar. The motive was to help the students know various aspects of Baisakhi like religious, cultural and environmental implications of the festival. Students presented a captivating bhangra dance performance, dressed in colourful traditional Punjabi dresses and had a memorable time, full of amusement and learning.

MRS. SUDHA GUPTA SPREADS THE JOY OF POSITIVE PARENTING AT HISAR

Behind every child who believes in himself, is a parent who believed in him first!
Inspiring the parents to set examples rather than just preaching plain words, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, honourable Chairperson of Presidium, is a renowned parenting expert. Her positive parenting mantras and motivational words have touched and transformed more than a lakh of parents across India and continue to raise awareness through her constructive parenting seminars. She recently conducted one such enlightening parenting seminar at Guru Jambheshwar University, Hisar on 8th April, 2018.
With the mission to empower parents to play the role of a ‘coach’, providing just the right combination of encouragement, support and guidance for optimal growth of their children, the seminar received a huge positive response from all the parents. In her simple yet endearing and effective style, she gave ten Mantras and three Guru Mantras as a useful guide to positive parenting. She ended the program with an activity that afforded an opportunity to the parents to relive their childhood. Overwhelmed to have realized the joy of positive parenting, the parents thanked her for meticulously renovating their perspective towards raising their children.

AN ICE-BREAKING WELCOME SESSION FOR STUDENTS AT PRESIDIUM HISAR

As the new academic year gets under way, Presidium Hisar welcomes its little bundle of joy with high spirits and new hopes. With a promise to provide opportunities to make children what they want to be, the first day at Presidium was a milestone for both parents and children. To make the day memorable for them, many activities were organised. They enjoyed the company of new friends and teachers. Children were quite excited and soon adapted to their new environment. OUR LITTLE PRESIDIANS LEARN THE PRETTY COLOUR 'PINK' PLAYFULLY

To introduce the gorgeous colour ‘pink’ to our pre nursery students, a Pink Pajama Party was recently organized at Presidium, Hisar. Dressed in cute pink pajamas, the children enjoyed the fun-filled party and relished pink coloured food items like candy-floss and wafers. They created ‘thank you’ cards by decorating them with crushed pink tissue paper and also enjoyed colouring pink pajama in their books. Introducing colour pink using real objects like toys, blocks, bottles and crayons, the activity further enhanced the ambience of the class with pink coloured balloons and festoons. Acquiring the ability to identify the colour and differentiate it from other colours, the little Presidians had a splendid day.

A SPECIAL & MEMORABLE ASSEMBLY ON THE SESSIONS LAST WORKING DAY

An amalgamation of hard work, concentration, confidence, competitive urge and capacity for enjoyment paves the path for success of an individual!
Honouring all these attributes of our dear batch of outgoing students, a special assembly was conducted in the premises of Presidium, Hisar to make the last working day of the session memorable and special for them. The assembly commenced with an invocation to the almighty in the form of a prayer, the students then shared a meaningful thought for the day, followed by the word of the day. The children from grades 1 to 3 delivered speeches about World Forestry Day, World Poetry Day, the importance of forests in our life and Martyrs’ Day. A quiz was further conducted to check the general knowledge of the children. The children also presented a short skit on the theme, 'Save Trees, Save Forests', highlighting the role which humans can play to save the trees and forests for maintaining the proper balance of nature.

PRESIDIANS RECEIVE DISTINCT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT ON APPRECIATION DAY

The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness!
To appreciate and acknowledge the qualities of the young Presidians of Hisar, a special Appreciation Day assembly was recently organized. The students were acknowledged with ‘appreciation certificates’, covering 17 qualities, identified by their class teachers. These attributes are courage, creativity, curiosity, confidence, friendliness, leadership, independence, positive attitude, enthusiasm, good behaviour, communication, good behaviour, attentiveness, team spirit, excellence in sports, excellence in dance and taking initiative. This noble idea originates from our honourable chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta, who believes that each child has a distinctive quality and it is our responsibility to recognize the same and stimulate each one of them continuously. The event proved that appreciation truly works like a magic wand!

To honour the women of the world for being special, powerful, and unique, on International Women's Day, the students of grade III conducted a special assembly.The assembly showcased a series of short stories and facts on the contribution of women in the advancement of the world. All the Presidians saluted women by presenting them lovely greeting cards. The assembly culminated with the vice principal, Ms Shalini Chaudhary emphasizing on women empowerment and contribution of women in different fields. The students enjoyed the celebration with utmost enthusiasm and fervour.

YOUNG PRESIDIANS VOUCH FOR SAVING ANIMALS ON WORLD WILDLIFE DAY

Humanity can no longer stand by in silence while our wildlife is being used abused and exploited. It is time, we all stand together to be the voice of the voiceless before it’s too late. To connect more with nature and wildlife, a special assembly was organised by grade 2 students to promote the thought of saving animals on the occasion of World Wildlife Day. Little Presidians showed their connectivity with animals by sharing their experiences and performing rhymes.They gave special messages to show kindness towards animals and to save endangered species. The assembly was culminated with motivated Presidians who stood strong by the notion of saving animals!
