PRESIDIANS GIVE A RHETORIC DISPLAY OF CONFIDENCE AT DECLAMATION
With the objective of developing communication skills and promote critical thinking among students, Presidium, Hisar organized an Inter-class English Declamation competition on May 12, 2017.
The first round was conducted in each class wherein the students were shortlisted for the final round. The finalists presented their views on given topics. The competition witnessed a healthy and interesting competition with dexterous articulation between participants. Their confidence, enthusiasm and alertness while participating in the competition was indeed impressive. Such competitions enhance public speaking skills, oratory skills and eloquence in students.
PRESIDIANS EXPRESS THEIR LOVE FOR MOTHERS- A BLESSING FROM GOD
Mother’s love is the fuel that nourishes her child and make him/her to do the impossible.
Mother’s day is celebrated to show respect and express gratitude towards our mothers. They have always played a special role in each of our lives. Their unconditional love, support and the feeling of a warn and secure blanket around us is unmatched.
To celebrate this day of love, on 12th May 2017, students of Presidium Hisar, conducted a special assembly with much fervour and joy. They put up a great show expressing their love for mothers. They shared their thoughts showcasing their gratitude towards mothers. A lovely performance was presented on the importance of Mothers by the tiny tots, followed by a beautiful song “Mumma..Pyaari Maaa oo Maa”. The atrium was filled with tears of joy among children.
Students applauded with joy and committed to the words of our Vice Principal, Mrs. Shalini Choudhary to pay gratitude to their mother and respect them forever.
The assembly was summed up with a beautiful quote, 'Mother is the name for the God in the lips and hearts of children'.
CELEBRATING BUDDHA PURNIMA AT PRESIDIUM WITH FERVOUR & GAIETY
Edwin Arnold has called Buddha, the ‘light of Asia’. Buddha’s message has travelled far and wide and captured the hearts of billions of people both within and outside India.
On May 10th 2017, Buddha Purnima was celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Buddha at Presidium School, Hisar.
Being the most sacred Buddhist festival, students also shared the importance of the festival of Buddha Purnima and how it is celebrated around the continent of Asia. The campus buzzed with excitement and joy . The programme culminated with skit organised by the students highlighting his preaching. The skit with the social message stole the show. Vice Principal Ms Shalini Chaudhary gave the message of peace and harmony to the students and urged them to follow the teachings of Mahatma Buddha.
PRESIDIANS WIELD BADGES OF RESPONSIBILITY AT INVESTITURE CEREMONY
‘Leadership is not about titles and positions, it is about one life influencing another. ’ Presidium bestows upon its students the ability to be future leaders of the world’. Keeping up with the thought, Presidium Hisar, held its second Investiture Ceremony on 4th May 2017. The aim of instituting the student council is to enable them to become leaders of future.The event was graced by the Chief Guest Mr. Ashok Bansal, Commissioner, Hisar. The event began with the lighting of lamp followed by Ganesh Vandana. Newly appointed council members- Presidents, Vice Presidents, Social cause Prefects and Sports Prefects were adorned with badges and received the flags from the chief guest. It was indeed a proud moment for Presidium family. The Vice Principal, Ms Shalini Choudhary administered the oath to the student council. The student council took an oath to live up to the expectations of the management and work relentlessly with sincerity and devotion. The Presidents of each club thanked the management for giving them the opportunity to develop leadership skills. The chief guest congratulated the office bearers and appreciated the efforts of the school for providing such a wonderful platform to the students. She emphasized that great leaders don’t set out to be a leader, they set out to make a difference and it is never about the role but always about the goal. The Director, Ms. Neerja Chawla and the Vice Principal proposed the vote of thanks and encouraged the council members to perform their duties with great responsibility
BADMINTON TOURNAMENT:HISAR WINS 3RD POSITION-UNDER 12 BOYS
To celebrate the unmatched young talents of Presidium, 1st Inter Presidium Badminton Championship was held at Presidium, Dwarka Sector 22, from April 27, 2017 to April 29, 2017. Players of all participating schools showcased a lot of zeal and enthusiasm to win the trophy. Four players of under 12 boys’ category from Hisar qualified for the finals. Four players won silver medals. It is proud to announce that we won the Overall ‘Runners Up Trophy’.
CELEBRATING THE FOLK CULTURE OF INDIA ON WORLD DANCE DAY
Dance has been an integral part of our culture and heritage since time immemorial. Whenever we look at nature, we find that it is full of rhythm and music. Wherever there is rhythm, there is life and in dance is a celebration of life!
In sync with this belief, Presidium Hisar celebrated World Dance Day on April 28, 2017. An inter-club dance competition was also held, wherein the budding talents of Presidium spread their flair through mesmerising performances on various Indian dance forms such as Garba from Gujarat, Bhangra from Punjabi, Lavni from Maharashtra etc.
The entire program was vibrant and beautiful; and inundated the students with rhythm and pulsating vibes of dance while helping them understand the value of the celebrated art form-Dance.
EARTH DAY: PRESIDIANS PLEDGE TO STEP TOWARDS A SAFER EARTH
"Let's join hands on Earth Day and make our planet a better place to live in."
With this beautiful thought in their mind, Presidium Hisar celebrated the occasion of World Earth Day. An awareness drive was organised where the students planted a sapling and showed gratitude towards Mother Earth for what all it has given us.
At presidium, we are ambassadors of nature aiming at inspiring humanity to preserve and protect our Mother Earth and make it a better place to live in.
SESSION 2016-17: A NEW JOURNEY BEGINS AT PRESIDIUM HISAR
‘Hardwork leads to success but hardwork along with enjoyment gives us memories that never fade.’ Presidium, Hisar organised a fun day full of activities and games to make this session more memorable and special for children on March 22, 2017. Session 2016-17 successfully culminated in this temple of learning with excitement, optimism and more aspirations with the objective of focusing more on holistic development of students. The day was breathtakingly exciting like a roller coaster ride as our young and enthusiastic Presidians jog through memories of school time with their friends. Various games and activities were organised like musical chair, trampoline, tug of war, chess, badminton, carom board etc. The students enjoyed to the core. The sparkle in their eyes and smiles on their faces were priceless. The winners of different games were given prizes. The honourable Vice Principal Ms. Shalini Chaudhary appreciated the students for their hard work and conveyed best wishes for the new beginning of Session 2017-18. Presidium fraternity wishes good luck to students for coming session.
CELEBRATING HOLI WITH THE COLOURS OF LOVE
Presidium, Hisar conducted a special assembly on Holi on March 10, 2017 to create awareness among children about the importance of the festival in our life. Holi is not only about colors and sweets but it signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring, culmination of the winter season and it is also celebrated as a thanksgiving for a good harvest.
In the assembly, students brought to light the significance of the day by sharing thought for the day and by delivering speeches. The recitation of the poem ‘Holi aayi, Holi aayi’ added fervor to the celebration among the students. A quiz based on some general facts about Holi was conducted to examine as well as to enhance the knowledge of the students. To add to the glory of celebration, a group of students dressed in colorful attires holding water guns and flowers danced gracefully on the song of Holi which led the audience mesmerized by their performance.
The honorable Vice Principal of the school, Ms. Shalini Chaudhary enlightened the students about the significance of victory of good over evil and spread the message of peace and brotherhood for the entire humanity.
BASANT PANCHAMI: INVOKING THE BLESSINGS OF GODDESS SARASWATI
‘Spring is in the air, fresh blossoms everywhere.’
Presidium Hisar celebrated Basant Panchami, the festival of seasonal, religious and social significance with great vivacity and joy. To mark the beginning of Spring season, a special assembly was organized to celebrate the blooming occasion. The school atrium vibrated with the chanting of mantras and Saraswati prayer ‘Hey Sharde Maa’. The students delivered speeches on the significance of the day and recited poems. As this festival is dedicated to Goddess Saraswati, the school also organized' Saraswati Puja’ in school premises. The students participated in the Havan puja with complete dedication and devotion. Prasad was distributed amongst the gathering.
The school partners, Mrs. and Mr. Satyanarayan Garg graced the occasion with their presence and attended the puja. The staff and students sought the blessings of Goddess Saraswati, to shower her blessings and show them the path of wisdom and knowledge. The school Vice Principal, Ms. Shalini Chaudhary, shared the significance of four hands and the two rides of Goddess Saraswati with the students.
