CELEBRATING AIRFORCE DAY, GIRL CHILD DAY, WORLD POST DAY

Students of Grade 6 recently presented a Special Assembly on ‘Indian Air Force Day’ ‘International Day of
the Girl Child’ and ‘World Post Day’. The assembly started with the Morning Prayer followed by the news headlines and thought for the day. The objective of the assembly was to make the audience aware of the fact that the Indian Air Force, air arm of the Indian armed forces, has its prime responsibility of securing the Indian airspace as well as to carry out aerial warfare clash. The assembly also highlighted the importance of the International Day of the Girl Child and World Post Day. A group of students recited a poem in praise of Indian Air Force. They also presented a skit on International Day for Girl Child. The importance of this day was reiterated to the students by spreading awareness amongst them that the government has instituted laws and policies protecting the rights of girls and women. The assembly was addressed by our Vice Principal Ms Shalini Choudhary. She encouraged the students with her motivating words. The assembly was concluded with the School Song and National Anthem.

OZONE DAY: PRESIDIANS VOW TO PROTECT AND SERVE THEIR MOTHER EARTH

A special assembly on Ozone Day was recently organised by the students of Presidium Hisar. It was an educational initiative and a step to prompt young minds to start contributing their bit in nurturing and looking after ‘Mother Earth’. A poem was presented by students titled “Vatavaran ko swachh banao”. Through this poem students threw light on the significance of the environment in our life. A skit was also performed where the students depicted the ways in which we are destroying the environment and showcasing the depleting ozone layer and the consequences we would face in the future. The assembly was culminated with a pledge to do our bit in the mission to save and protect our earth.

PRESIDIANS ENTHRALL ALL WITH THEIR DAZZLING PERFORMANCES

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, an Intra Class Dance Competition - Happy Feet Dance Competition, was organised for the students of grades Nursery and Prep. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young Presidians as they enthralled everyone with their performances. Overall, the event was a major success in recreating the spirit of sportsmanship and fair play infused with a magnetic energy surrounded by cheerfulness.

YOUNG PRESIDIANS DELIVER WITH CONVICTION AT STAGE PRESENTATIONS

Students who are good presenters are better communicators all round since they are able to construct and express their ideas clearly. It is very important to enhance the confidence level of the students so that they have stage daring, socializing with others, linguistic and other skills are developed from an early age. Keeping this in mind, Stage Presentation was organized recently for the students of grade 1 to 3. Topics for were – Good Manners, Health lies in fruits and vegetables and Funny things my parents say for grade 1, Laughter is the best medicine and Clean Earth, Green Earth for grade 2, and Nature is the best healer and Books are our best friends for grade 3. Many students brought different props to convey their thoughts and message to the audience in a more coherent manner. Their confidence while performing on the stage left the audience spellbound.

CELEBRATING GANDHI JAYANTI & INTERNATIONAL DAY OF NON-VIOLENCE

A special assembly to pay a tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and mark the occasion of International Day of Non-Violence, celebrated by the UN in the honour of Gandhiji,  was organized by the students of grade 7. The assembly started with the Morning Prayer followed by the news headlines, thought for the day and quotes by Gandhiji. A speech on the life of Mahatma Gandhi was also delivered. To assimilate the knowledge gained on Gandhiji’s life, an open quiz was conducted. The assembly was addressed by the Vice Principal Ms Shalini Choudhary who encouraged all to walk on the path of truth and non-violence.

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY: PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE WORLD TOURISM DAY

On the occasion of World Tourism Day students of grade 1 of Presidium Hisar organised a special assembly to mark the occasion. Every year September 27 is celebrated as the World Tourism Day to promote tourism throughout the world. The students presented the assembly with the aim of showing different cultures with a special showcasing of the Seven Wonders of the World. The students were dressed in attires of different countries of the world and states of India. The students spoke about the country or state they were representing displaying the famous tourist spots of the region and all the other students had to guess the place to which they belonged. It was a knowledge filled assembly for one and all.

PRESIDIANS PERFORM WONDERFULLY WELL AT READING COMPETITION

The importance of reading cannot be underestimated, as reading aids to the child’s mental development. It’s the stories that give wings to our imagination and take us to places beyond the boundaries of our physical world. To enhance the confidence and speaking skills of the students, Presidium Hisar organised an English Story Reading Competition for the students of grade 1 to 3. The students narrated  moral based stories that offered many facets such as suspense and comedy. They read out their stories with clarity and perfect voice modulation. The enthusiasm and passion of the students was applauded by all.

PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PEACE & RHINO DAY

‘It isn’t enough to talk about peace, one must believe in it. And it isn’t enough to believe in peace, one must work at it.’ Presidium Hisar celebrated International Day of Peace and World Rhino Day by organizing a special assembly. The students of grade 2 showcased the symbol of peace, Dove and also depicted various species of Rhino. The day was devoted to strengthen the ideals of peace. A small play was performed with the idea - all is paid back in the same coin to everyone who has done good or evil urging students to desist from doing evil. The celebrations also aimed at creating awareness amongst the students on the uniqueness of the species of Rhino. The main idea of the assembly was - ‘with awareness can come “the change”’. Through a speech, students were made aware how rhinos are currently being poached at a rate of three to four per day. The assembly was concluded by highlighting that every species is equally important and has the right to live.

ENGINEERS' DAY: SALUTING THE ARCHITECTS BEHIND EVERY INNOVATION

‘Engineering is the art of directing the great sources of power in nature for the use and convenience of man.’ A special assembly was conducted in the school premises of Presidium Hisar by the students of grade 2 on the occasion of Engineers’ Day in the honour of Bharat Ratna Sir Mokshagundam Visvesvarayya. The day is a tribute to one of the greatest engineers of the country for his outstanding contribution to society. The assembly began with a thought highlighting the importance of innovations in human life, followed by news headlines and a quiz based on the facts related to Engineers’ Day. A speech related to Engineers’ day was delivered to know more about Sir MV and his contributions.
