Presidium respects the training, honor the commitments and cherishes the results. We were privileged to have our Honourable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta Ma’am and have a glorious and insightful Christmas Celebration. Training sessions were also conducted by Sudha Ma'am for teachers and Incharges to develop an envision for planning and implementing the teaching-learning process. The session deliberated a platform for teachers, academicians and management team to understand and share their experiences and put forth the ideas for revised curriculum methodologies. The main objective of the session was a better team building to bring out future leaders of tomorrow.

IT’S CHRISTMAS IN THE HEARTS THAT PUTS CHRISTMAS IN THE AIR!

Presidians celebrated the spirit of love, generosity, and goodness. The school atrium was beautifully decorated, and a special assembly was conducted by students of grade 4. The significance of the festival was explained, which is in the spirit of sharing. They understood the joy of doing a little something extra for someone. Tiny tots got super excited with the presence of loving Santa in the assembly. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children.

AD MAD COMPETITION: STUDENTS EXHIBIT THEIR HIDDEN TALENTS

An Inter Class Ad Mad Competition for grades 4 & 5 was held to encourage the students to come forward and showcase their talents. They participated enthusiastically in this event and displayed their creativity and stage presence skills magnificently. They came up with some wonderful jingles and advertisements that had the fun quotient and in the process, we discovered some budding actors. All the participants presented innovative advertisements on various topics. It was a good confidence-building exercise.

An Inter Class Talent Hunt was held to encourage the students to come forward and showcase their talents. Students participated enthusiastically in this event and displayed their abilities magnificently. They exhibited their talent in diverse fields like dance, singing, mono act, mime, mimicry, playing an instrument, etc. It was amazing to see the students perform with utmost confidence and grace. The audience was thrilled to witness the performances of the students and motivated them with thundering applause. The activity was one of its kind which aimed at displaying the unique talent present in the students. This event not only helped students to develop a higher level of creativity, self-expression, and confidence but also enhanced their creative and artistic skills.

UNICEF DAY:STUDENTS CREATE AWARENESS ABOUT THE RIGHTS OF CHILDREN

Presidium encourages a sense of stability for each of its children. Like UNICEF we believe in giving our children opportunities and hope. To promote UNICEF, a special assembly was conducted.  Students of grade 8 powerfully and distinctively conveyed values of UNICEF and their productive thoughts. They created awareness against child labor, exploitation of children and discrimination against the girl child. A good education makes better thinkers, citizens which leads to a better, peaceful world. As we believe in building leaders of tomorrow, we are dedicated to improving the morals of every child and help in fulfilling their dreams.

We all are born free and equal in dignity and rights. Human rights are rights that each individual becomes entitled to by virtue of his birth and nationality. The young youth must owe the responsibility to protect the basic human rights of all. To bring out this awareness among the leaders of tomorrow, Presidians conducted a special assembly to celebrate honoring the rights of people. The insightful performances by students focused on knowing, respecting and standing strong for our rights. These powerful minds further narrated the importance of education of these rights; the most powerful weapon to change the world for its betterment. Towards the end of the assembly, they pledged to develop a better future and promote freedom, security & peace in all nations.

MATHEMATICS IS NOT JUST ABOUT NUMBERS, IT’S ABOUT UNDERSTANDING

Mathematics activities help the students to think from a different perspective. It not only promotes qualities like teamwork and problem solving skills but also time management and patience. In order to test the knowledge of the basic concepts, different Mathematics activities were organized for grades 6-8 at Presidium. These activities were presented in an interactive manner and the students enthusiastically participated in it. The activities conducted for different classes were-Mathematics Puzzle, Crosswords related to numbers and Sudoku. The aim of conducting these activities was to enhance basic calculations, reasoning and creative thinking skills among students. It was indeed an interesting, educational and a fruitful experience for the students.

STUDENTS EXPRESS THEIR THOUGHTS AT STORYTELLING COMPETITION

A story telling competition was conducted for the grade nursery and prep. The expression in the innocent eyes of the children and their imagination brightened the classroom when the tiny tots participated in the Story Telling Competition conducted for them. They narrated stories like An Honest Wood Cutter,The Boy and the Apple Tree, The Thirsty Crow. To captivate the audiences’ attention and make the narration interesting, the narrators donned the avatars of the characters that were acted out by the students wonderfully. The enthusiastic students had brought props to help piece together their understanding of the story. The participants made effective use of facial expressions, gestures and voice modulation.

A LIFE WITHOUT VIOLENCE IS EVERY WOMAN'S RIGHT

Presidium nurtured students to break the silence when they witness violence - violence against women and girls which is a grave violation of human rights. It negatively affects women’s general well-being and prevents women from fully participating in society. Our senior students conducted a special assembly to throw light on how to prevent violence. The students put up an empathetic act depicting how women are discriminated in several parts of the world and how it impacts the whole society. Violence against women continues to be an obstacle in achieving equality, development, peace as well as the fulfillment of women and girls’ human rights. The change will happen only if we change ourselves and henceforth respect women, educate them, give equal opportunity and nullify gender discrimination from domestic horizon to corporate arena.
