PRESIDIANS SET THE STAGE ON FIRE AT HAPPY FEET DANCE COMPETITION
When we try to translate the vitality of our life energy into fluid moves, we dance. Dance competitions are a great way to build up emotional resilience in a child. We, at, Presidium, organized an IntraClass Happy Feet Dance Competition to showcase the talent of our young and energetic Presidians of Grades I – III. The fun-filled extravaganza offered different dance forms, as the vivacious dancers of grade III set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. All the participants were very energetic and performed ardently. The vibrant dresses, the rhythmic music, the foot-tapping numbers added spark to the performances. The use of props like hats, chairs, and sticks was done to enthrall the audience.
OPEN HOUSE: AN INFORMATIVE SESSION FOR PRESIDIANS AND PARENTS!
A glance at Presidium’s Vision, Philosophy, Teaching and Learning Methodology was well conveyed under one roof at the Open House. It was aimed at assisting the parents in monitoring the progress of their wards through first-hand exposure to the well-designed curriculum that caters to Education for Life. More than 800 students participated and showcased their talent by giving demonstrations of their specialized areas of interest. Parents and visitors were also a part of this live demonstration as they were given an insight as to how the students are trained for co-scholastic activities too. The students were extremely confident while expressing themselves. Every subject was explained by the students be it Grade Nursery or Grade VIII. The atrium was filled with varied activities such as Cooking without Flame, Reading, Robotics, Art & Craft, TBL culmination and much more.
PRESIDIANS ADVOCATE FOR SOCIAL INTEGRATION AND JUSTICE
February 20, is annually observed as World Day of Social Justice, recognizing the need to promote social justice, which includes efforts to tackle issues such as poverty, exclusion, gender equality, unemployment, human rights, and social protections. In keeping with the goal of achieving full employment and support for social integration, the quintessence and the significance of the day was illustrated through a special assembly by the students of Grade VII-B who seized this opportunity to convey that social development is a means to achieve social justice — solidarity, harmony, and equality. It works to remove barriers that divide people. The assembly commenced with the morning prayer followed by the news headlines and thought for the day which laid importance on this day. Students participated wholeheartedly by making the audience aware of the significance of this day through a skit where their thoughts laid stress on poverty eradication, equal rights, promotion of full employment, gender equality and access to social well-being and economic justice for all.
WINTER CARNIVAL: THE MAGICAL EXCITEMENT AT PRESIDIUM
Presidians bid adieu to the winter season with the eagerly awaited event, Winter Carnival. Buzzed with activities, fun, and excitement, the school ground pulsated with scintillating music and a lively crowd. Held every year, the carnival had everything to offer right from food to entertainment, rides to games and merchandise including Magic Show, Tambola, Colouring Competition, Dance Competition, live orchestra, lip-smacking food stalls, swings, etc. The students had put up game stalls with games so enticing that everybody wished to try hands at them. Tattoo art added glamour to the fiesta. These stalls were indeed a crowd puller. Carnival stage was kept alive with some enthralling performances by the Presidians, and the air was simply magical as enjoyment was at its peak. The zest and zeal exhibited by an enthusiastic crowd of visitors and participants made the Winter Carnival 2020 a memorable one indeed.
AN INSPIRING SESSION WITH BELOVED SUDHA GUPTA MA'AM
Our Chairperson, Mrs. Sudha Gupta believes in boosting the confidence of students by recognizing their exceptional talents and achievements. A special meeting with Ma’am was organized for the School Council Members, where Ma'am shared some wonderful teaching insights with them. We, at Presidium, believe in giving voice to the opinions of our students so that when they grow up they become responsible citizens of the country as well. This meeting was an opportunity for students wherein they got to personally interact with Ma’am and share their experiences and concerns. They were happy to get suggestions from Ma’am, as she shared her life lessons and motivated the students to excel in their lives
PRESIDIANS SALUTE THE GALLANT EFFORTS OF OUR MARTYRS
Presidium takes special emphasis is taken in Presidium to instill among the students the respect for sacrifices and gallant efforts made by Indians for the pride and honor of the nation. The day was observed by a special assembly by the students of Grade VI to mark the occasion of Martyr’s Day. The assembly kick-started by paying homage to Mahatma Gandhiji through his favorite prayer “Hey Ram.” An inspirational thought of the day elucidated the teachings of Gandhiji followed by International & National news. Poem recital, speech, and a soul-stirring dance performance were also presented depicting the great deeds of martyrs and their unforgotten valor. The assembly concluded with the addressal of the Head of the institution emphasizing love and respect for the martyrs.
PRESIDIANS DISPLAY PATRIOTIC FERVOR AT REPUBLIC DAY
Republic Day is a celebration of democracy and diversity of India which infuses a sense of patriotism in every Indian. The students of Presidium celebrated the grandeur and exuberance of India on this special day. With great fervor, the students also paid homage to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the nation. The school echoed with patriotic fervor as the mellifluous school choir crooned the patriotic song. The highlight of the day was a scintillating dance performance on Incredible India. The entire program sensitized the children for the fact that the future of their country lies in their hands. They pledged to uphold the honor of India which has flourished despite various adversities to rise victorious.
PAYING TRIBUTE TO OUR COURAGEOUS SOLDIERS ON ARMY DAY
Soldiers play the most vital role in protecting India and its borders. They are the pride of the nation, as they sacrifice their lives for their motherland. Presidians paid tribute to our courageous soldiers.
SUDHA MA’AM GRACES TEACHER TRAINING SESSIONS
Presidium respects the training, honor the commitments and cherishes the results. We were privileged to have our Honourable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta Ma’am and have a glorious and insightful Christmas Celebration. Training sessions were also conducted by Sudha Ma'am for teachers and Incharges to develop an envision for planning and implementing the teaching-learning process. The session deliberated a platform for teachers, academicians and management team to understand and share their experiences and put forth the ideas for revised curriculum methodologies. The main objective of the session was a better team building to bring out future leaders of tomorrow.
IT’S CHRISTMAS IN THE HEARTS THAT PUTS CHRISTMAS IN THE AIR!
Presidians celebrated the spirit of love, generosity, and goodness. The school atrium was beautifully decorated, and a special assembly was conducted by students of grade 4. The significance of the festival was explained, which is in the spirit of sharing. They understood the joy of doing a little something extra for someone. Tiny tots got super excited with the presence of loving Santa in the assembly. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was visible on the faces of all the children.
